About The DistRogue
Known to my friends as DJ Gentoo, I use my screenname, the DistRogue, to write reviews for Linux distributions. Whether it's "The DistRogue" or just "DistRogue" is up to you- it's sort of like calling The GIMP just Gimp. Either is fine by me. (And don't worry about whether or not the 'R' should be capitalized- it's another minor, pointless detail.)

What I do
My goal is to help you decide which Linux distribution is best for you. According to the authorities on the subject, there are over 300 active distributions, with more being added each day. A choice can be annoyingly hard. Once, DistroWatch tried to narrow the numbers down to 10 distributions, but it's not that easy in practice. For example, that article did not recommend MEPIS, which you might find a better match than anything else. And plus, the article is outdated, with several newer, better distributions, such as Sabayon. The average user (that's you!) needs a frequently-updated site that can head them in the right direction, without bogging them down in techno-jargon, and cater to their needs perfectly. For instance, some people might find Zenwalk a hard distribution to use, and have such a fast computer they don't need it. Others might be better-skilled, but stuck on an old machine- a perfect application for Zenwalk.
Take the test. Find out yourself.
